The people behind the name:
Safe Place was established and is owned by Darren Cummings. Darren has lived in St.Neots all his life, as have other members of the team.
With a career in Electrical Engineering, and a Bsc (Hons ) degree Darren believes he has the skills to work as an independant electrician who delivers a high quality and professional service. His aim is to provide customers with an honest, reliable and fairly priced service that they can trust.
This approach works for customers as a large number of them return to Safe Place time and time again for additional work or have recommended Safe Place to others. The business has grown and now Darren has a team working with him, which includes his father in law Tom Mumford. Tom started out as an electrician in the Royal Navy and has wired up most things including submarines and helicopters. These days he focuses more on the domestic market. Tom has kept up to date with all the relevant qualifications and is a registered Part P Electrician.
Alison works in the office, carrying out much of the administration that is required under the new regulations.
Safe Place is now carrying out work across Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire, for private customers directly, and for reputable businesses in the area. Safe Place undertake maintainance work in rental properties and in small commercial premises.
As well as his work with Safe Place Darren has been teaching electrical engineering at the local college, and offers Inspection Consultation Services to local authorities.
